Bill Copland, a student from Corby, Northamptonshire, was a contestant on series 15 of the UK version of the show on 3 April, 2004. He's only the seventh person in the UK version to walk away with nothing after incorrectly answering his £1,000 question.

Bill jokingly asked whether to use the Ask the Audience lifeline for the second time since he had no clue in which Chris denied his request replying "You cannot ask the audience twice". He used his 50:50 lifeline leaving answers B and C. Bill didn't think it's Frank Carson, went with Bernard Manning. He was wrong and Bill becomes only the 7th zero-pound winner in the UK version of Millionaire as the correct answer was B: Frank Carson. |
Trivia
- Bill also appeared on the Australian version of the show on June 10, 2002 where he won $250,000.
- Bill was a contestant before Pat Gibson would enter the hot seat and eventually becoming the 4th person to win the top prize.
