Gill O'Donnell, a holiday representative from Redcar and Cleveland, North Yorkshire won £1,000 on July 18, 2009 after answering her £20,000 question incorrectly, where she went with the answer of 81% of the audience. This was overall the highest percentage ever for a wrong answer on the show. She did not use her 'Phone-A-Friend' lifeline.

  • In 2014 on the U.S. version of the show, a contestant was given a question similar to Gill's £20,000 question for $500,000. Coincidentally, both contestants got their respective questions wrong.
