The llama is a domesticated South American camelid, but in the U.S. Primetime Millionaire glossary is more popularly used to refer to a contestant from the U.S. who blows one of the first five questions and leaves with nothing (see Wrong answer before first safe level) In the more recent internet age, the term llama has been replaced by the more generic term fail.

The term was coined after Robby Roseman blew the first question with llama being the incorrect answer to 'Hannibal crossed the Alps using what animals?'
