Shannon Sullivan, a math major from St. John's, Newfoundland, was the third contestant on the Canadian version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? on September 13-14, 2000. He won CA$1,000 after answering his CA$16,000 question incorrectly.
He was the first contestant not to use all of his lifelines as he did not use his Phone-a-Friend, as well as the first not to use Ask the Audience on one of the first five questions.
Shannon was not sure, so he decided to ask the audience. The majority went for C: Joe Carter, so Shannon went with them, which was correct.
