Timo Toivonen, from Turku, appeared as a contestant on the Autumn 1999 and Spring 2000 series of Haluatko miljonääriksi?, the Finnish version of the show, on two occasions: first on 17 December, 1999, when he walked away with 10,000 marks, and 23 and 28 April, 2000, when he walked away with 250,000 marks.

Timo was also a contestant on the quiz shows Elmo, Giljotiini, and Greed. He won the Sports Knowledge Quiz of Finland (Urheilutiedon SM-kilpailu) in 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2010, and 2015.

Timo knew the first 12 questions without using any lifelines.
