Trivia[]

  • In an interview for The Mirror, Tony admitted that the questions he knew were from the Quizword puzzle - one example of which was his £125,000 question about King Arthur's father, Uther Pendragon. He said that he knew the answer because: "...it must have featured in the Quizword at least three times in the last five years."
  • One of Tony's possible Phone-a-Friends, his niece Storme - whose specialist subject was the pop band S Club 7 - knew the right answer to his £500,000 question as she was doing a project on L.S. Lowry at school.
  • According to Tony's Facebook account, since 2008, he has been a technician at BBC Monitoring, which according to their website, "...reports and analyses news from media around the world".
